New for 2024, Ford offers a Free Wheeling model based on the ’70s Bronco appearance. This colorful trim has 17-inch alloy wheels with red accents, a silver grille, and sunset body graphics with reflective properties that give it a retro style. There are also new Azure Gray and Desert Sand exterior paint colors. Inside this trim, you find similar design details, such as sunset seat back graphics, red fittings, and a trim-exclusive plaque on the center console.

Ford has dropped the base model, making the Big Bend trim the entry point. The Black Appearance package, with a blacked-out grille, matte-black body decals, and black 17-inch wheels, is available for this model.

Inside, you have more headroom thanks to the safari-style roof. The Bronco Sport has durable materials, such as rubberized second-row seat backs and a cargo mat you can remove for easy cleaning. The rear seat folds flat, opening up 65.2 cubic feet of cargo space in every model except the Badlands, which measures 60.6 cubic feet.

A rearview camera system sends a live video stream from behind your vehicle to the infotainment screen. With the assistance of dynamic grid lines, you can back up and avoid obstacles you might otherwise not see.

You get a five-year trial subscription to SiriusXM Traffic Plus and Travel Link. These systems give you details on traffic, accidents, road closures, construction, and fuel prices. You can also listen to your favorite music, sports, and other programming available on the satellite network.

Ford uses a standard 1.5-liter EcoBoost inline three-cylinder engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission in the lower trims, making 181 horsepower and 190 lb-ft of torque. The Badlands trim has a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission. This configuration produces an impressive 250 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque.

All Bronco Sport models have an all-wheel-drive system capable of taking you off the beaten path. The Badlands model has an extra suspension lift and upgraded dampers to tackle rough terrain.

Models with a 1.5-liter engine can tow up to 2,000 pounds. The 2.0-liter models provide up to 2,200 pounds of towing capacity.
